What do we do with difficult thoughts?
Have you noticed how one troubling thought can take over your entire day?
We keep thinking about something that has happened, something someone said, or something we have no control over. One thought leads to another, and soon we find ourselves worrying, getting angry or feeling helpless.
I recently came across an interesting analogy: just as cancer cells multiply when they are out of control, worrying thoughts too can grow when we keep giving them our attention.
This made me wonder:
How do we deal with thoughts that disturb our peace?
What helps us when we feel angry, disappointed or helpless?
Do we talk to someone, distract ourselves, pray, accept the situation, or simply give it time?
I would love to hear what works for you. Not necessarily what troubles you, but how you deal with it — and whether it helps.
Maybe we can learn something from one another 🙏

Deepika says: Negative thoughts do come, but I try not to dwell on them. I let them pass and engage myself in activities such as going for a walk, cooking, listening to an audiobook or writing in my journal.
Sometimes I allow myself to feel sorry for myself for a little while, but then I get up and get on with something constructive.
Writing helps me the most.
Exercise, pranayama and decluttering also help. It really depends on the time of day and what I feel like doing.
And let me add one more thing: positive thoughts are never too far away. Sometimes all it takes is a moment to shift our attention towards what we have and feel grateful for the life we are living.
What works for one person may not work for another, but it is worth discovering what helps us. ❤️

My own way of dealing with worry …it is quite simple. I do whatever I can to address the situation. Then I go to my temple and literally imagine taking the worry out of my chest and placing it at the Lord’s feet.
I have done my bit. The rest I leave to Him.
It may not change the situation, but it certainly changes how I feel about it. 🙏❤️
